Veterans Day - USS Hornet - Sea, Air and Space Museum
*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 10/11/2023
This year marks two milestones at the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum. We are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the commissioning of the ship and 25th anniversary of her current mission as a museum on Veterans Day this year. As this is Veterans Day, we will be having our usual ceremonies to honor all who have served including a wreath laying. Following this will be an afternoon of guest speakers, including Admiral Samuel J. Cox of the Naval Heritage Command, open cockpits, extra food vendors, no host bars, an open island for touring, a flyover by the Memorial Squadron and more.
As a thank you to our community for supporting us through the years, we would like to have a day of free admission so all can attend. We are asking you to please RSVP for this event so we can gauge attendance.
