Cinema Arts: Manufactured Movie Light - The Exploratorium
As spring approaches and our days grow longer, we present four films from the Exploratorium’s cinema collection that celebrate light and color. This selection of short documentary and animated films, both kinetic and contemplative, shimmer with ingenuity. Covering the span of nearly a century—1926 to 2021—these films capture the way filmmakers use raw materials either by hand or machinery across generations to surface light play.
